Bee Mode

In the last couple of weeks, I've been entering what I like to call
Bee Mode

This is a mode I generally get into during early summer, but it seems to be kicking in late this year. "Bee Mode" is what I get into when I just stop giving a single fuck about people who don't keep plans and don't seem like they genuinely want to spend time with me.

Every year I go through this vicious cycle where I stop hanging out with everyone and become a hermit for about 5 months of the year. (Can you blame me, though? That winter season is just dreadful.) Usually mid-summer or, in this case, early fall I start blooming out again. I start making new friends, having tons of good times, and never seem to have a moment to myself (which after 5 months of practically no one isn't so bad).

I've kicked into Bee Mode in the last few weeks and so far, it's been wondiferous. I've come across some really cool people this summer. Moving to Farmington has to be one of the things I have done in life that have created one of the best chain reactions.

First Lance and I moved to Farmington. Then, we started playing disc golf. Our first time playing disc golf we ran into Noah whom we helped look for his disc. After playing disc golf, Noah reintroduced us to Nick. Then he introduced us to Nathan and Amber. All of these people, I have had a phenomenal time with over the last month or two and I honestly couldn't imagine where I'd be if I had stayed in my bum apartment in Park Hills.

To Nick at Noah: You both are fucking awesome. I hope to have many more nights of coming up with raps (provided I get better), bonfires, and radical music. Over the next few months I expect to have kickass music overload and nights where I think "What the fuck were we thinking?"

To Nathan and Amber: I couldn't imagine ever finding a better set of couple friends that even live in our same apartment complex. Nathan, you keep my boyfriend preoccupied with Pokemon and keep us both entertained with the random things you find on youtube. Also, yes, i promise I'll teach you how to make a beanie soon. Amber, you are simply amazing. You're adorable, you love artsy craftsy stuff and you make me smile from ear to ear. I love when you get excited about things and how feisty you are. Plus, you make one mean peanut butter cookie. You're the bomb, sweetheart.

and last but not least...

To Lancelot: None of this would have been possible with you. The last year of our lives together have been...insane. We've been through some tough things and we've been through some really wonderful things. Every evening, I'm happy to have you lying next to me and every morning I'm ecstatic to wake up next to you.Without you, I wouldn't be the person I am today. Without you, I would've never moved to Farmington or played disc golf or lost weight or any of the things that have brought this wonderful present to us. Thank you, my love.

So here's a toast to life.
Here's to not crawling into my hermit shell and continuing to thrive year long.
Here's to my friends who always find great music.
Here's to the happy couple that has many interesting, happy years ahead of them.
Here's to my Lancelot, the love of my life.

Cheers!
