Have We Given Up?

I know it's been a few weeks since I've posted anything our weight loss, and I'm sure you all are wondering...Have they given up? The answer is yes, and no. More so no than yes, though.

It's not that we have given up, it's simply that we have slipped up.
We are not walking away from being healthy and exercising everyday, We are just slacking off.

Lance and I have hardly been exercising at all and honestly, it kind of sucks a lot.
However, we have been mostly sticking with our healthy diet. I grant you, we have eaten Taco Bell quite a few times over the last couple of weeks, but that's just because things have been a mess.

It's been chaotic because we've been moving into the new apartment (which is just lovely by the way) and we've been scraping by with money (deposits, pet deposits, and turning on electric in Farmington is far too damn expensive). So, gas for fun hiking trips has not been first on the list and we're still paranoid the neighbors under us might get a little upset at us with all the jumping around with P90X. So, we're being lazy and testing the waters. We will get back into it though. We will get where we want to be.

Luckily for us, we're still losing weight (of course not nearly as dramatically as if we were actually exercising too). I woke up this morning to weigh myself and see the lovely number of 144.2 pop up onto the scale. 144.2. I started at 165 lbs just 2 months ago, meaning that I have officially lost 20 lbs!

I guess it really is about what you fuel your body with. As I said before, we've had Taco bell and we've had pizza, but we haven't let that destroy us and started eating at McDonalds daily or eat chocolate every night.

We still always try to find healthier alternatives to the things we still crave. The other night, we made whole what pizza bagels and they were magnificent. We took a whole wheat bagel and put pizza sauce on it (surprisingly not that bad for you), as well as low fat cheese, and turkey pepperoni. We got a ton of protein and it was like eating a healthier version of pizza lunchables.

I'm actually super stoked to get back into working out. I'm only 4.2 lbs from my initial goal weight, but only 14.2 to get down to where I really want to be. I've already lost 20, if I actually work hard and do what I was doing before those next 14 lbs will be a piece of cake (or a piece of fruit, I suppose). Once I lose those next 4.2 lbs, I will be at a healthy BMI for the first time since I was...a child. The lowest I've ever been was sauntering around 145 two summers ago.

So, no. We have not given up, we will not give up. We've  hit a set-back, but we're going to get right back up and keep going. So, stay tuned in. I'll try to hope on things and get some pictures up soon so we can get going along.
