So ladies and gentlemen, It's here. A full 365 days have passed since we last celebrated the brand new year of 2012. It's hard to believe, huh? I'm sure it feels like it was just a month or two ago for you as it does for me.
Many people say that making New Years Resolutions is pointless. It's just a reason to procrastinate doing something until the beginning of the year. I say that it's not.
When you approach the end of the year, you realize that this part of your life is over. When you say "Back in 2012..." you will not mean any day after today and you will not be talking about the same person you will be tomorrow.
People are changing everyday, whether we realize it or not. We're becoming stronger or losing a little more sanity. We're diving into our creative nature or falling more and more into ourselves. Little things happen everyday to keep forming who we are. If you'd like to read more on that, refer back to the "Unfinished" post.
My point is, you won't be who you are today, tomorrow. This will be the last day you will be the same person you were in 2012.
Make new years resolutions. Try to stick to them. Don't sit around being content with who you are, because no matter what you do, you won't stay that person. Just keep trying to get better. Learn new crafts. Get as much experience as you can. Go on adventures.
Don't sit around being content, start trying to be better.
"We are only beginning to learn what to say in a photograph. The world we live in is a succession of fleeting moments, any one of which might say something significant."
Goodbye, 2012. You were a lot of fun, but I'm moving on to better things.
